It's the end of the month already
- Some of us are using our mindfulness tools daily
- Some have started and then waned off
- Some of us are still thinking about starting!
Regardless of where you are now, the purpose of Mindfulness Month was not to have these habits for one month, we want to have them for life. We want you to have tools to be able to switch off from all the daily demands and make sure you spend a moment or two everyday being present, connect with your body, connecting with the moment.
The tools we have described to help you be Mindful everyday:
- The 5 minute purposeful pause
- Scheduling your day the night before
- Using a gratitude diary
- Diaphragmatic breathing
All of these tools bring you into the present. Our last tool we have that helps release negative emotions, patterns and beliefs is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) commonly known as Tapping. It is something you can do for yourself by tapping on particular acupuncture points on the body. It feels weird but the difference it can make will be felt very quickly. Give it a try!
The tapping gets the energy in your body flowing and can be very powerful. Choose one thing that is causing you a lot of stress or concern in your life, and give it a try...
