The newest business to arrive on Mana Esplanade is Chiropractic Balance, a buzzing wellness centre owned and operated by local Chiropractor Dr Roz Griffiths.
Roz has helped with many health concerns including ongoing niggling joint problems, sciatica, headaches, neck pain, whiplash, and waking up exhausted and stiff.
Most people associate chiropractors’ only as a treatment for fixing back pain, but Roz explains that she can do much more for your health. “I'm a Wellness Chiropractor and I'm passionate about getting sick people better, and getting well people amazing. I do this by focusing on getting your body into balance in four areas”.
The logo of the practice is a weathervane with the four compass points of North, South, East and West. This metaphor helps clients remember the balance of four areas of their health; S is for Structure, N for Nutrition, E for Exercise and W for Well-Being.
“Structure is my major specialty and the part that most people don't think about with their health - balancing the joints, the nerves and the muscles. Even your Mum knows that good posture is good for you, but few of us stop to think why or do anything about it. I use chiropractic techniques to allow you to reduce pain, oil your joints, and help put the spring back in your step and life.”
“Nutrition is important as what you eat is the building block for every cell, tissue and organ in your body. We help many people enhance their health looking at what they put into their bodies”.
“Exercise and movement is the third key element at Chiropractic Balance to get your body super-charged for more energy, less pain and better focus.”
“Well-being includes your mental and emotional well-being as well as stress. These factors play a part in the healing process. I teach people ways to cope better with the busyness of a modern lifestyle”
In addition to the Chiropractic practice, Roz offers regular ‘Half-Hour-To-Health’ seminars every fortnight for her patients. The next seminar on July 17th at 7pm is focused on ‘Posture for life’.
