Does your child have:
At Chiropractic Balance our approach towards better health isn’t just for Mum & Dad. Our Chiropractors have done post-graduate study to specialise their skills for pediatric patients. The work we do with children is very gentle and safe. Check out this international website to read more research & parents stories.
One of the first stresses our spine and nervous system can have is the birthing process, whether natural or c-section (1). Many parents bring their newborns to see us within days of their birth. The techniques used on babies are obviously very different to adults. Changes noticed after adjustments include better sleeping, less fussing, better sleep, more rounded head shape and more settled.
Once your child is on the go, it is not only more of a challenge for parents to keep an eye on them but also more of a challenge to their spine and nerves. Developing many new skills means lots of bumps and falls that can cause their growing structure to get out of balance. At Chiropractic Balance we help keep your child more balance through their milestones to ensure the best chance at reaching their optimum potential.
Playing sports, sitting at a desk or in front of the computer, growing pains, puberty and more. Many children benefit from regular Chiropractic check-ups (just like seeing a dentist) to sort out imbalances before they become long term problems.
Please contact us to organise an initial assessment for your child. We have reduced concession fees as well as family programs & ACC available for children.
Do Chiropractors use the same techniques on children as adults?
Many parents are concerned that Chiropractors will adjust their children the same way they do adults. But children and babies are not like miniature adults: their bones and spines are still developing and the treatments need to be adjusted accordingly. That’s why our Chiropractors do extra training and often use the amount of pressure you would place on an eyeball when adjusting a child.
Is there research about Chiropractic care for children & babies?
The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) has the largest compilation of research on Chiropractic care for children. Their website offers a comprehensive collection of research studies, chiropractic case studies and other published papers which show the efficacy of chiropractic care for children and pregnant women. Read the full research report here.
